Privacy Policy

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.

We store the presentations, slides, speaker notes, and chat messages you create, images you upload, and the sources you attach to a presentation.

If you choose to import a Google Doc or Google Slides file, we read the content of that file. See Google User Data below.

We count the AI messages you use, to apply your plan's allowance. If you subscribe, we also keep your plan, its status and billing dates, and the reference numbers Stripe gives your customer record and subscription. See Payments below.

We use essential cookies for authentication, and keep a copy of recently opened presentations in your browser so they load faster; signing out clears it. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your data is used only to provide the service: storing your presentations, generating and editing slides with AI when you ask, and maintaining your account and subscription. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Niori asks for access to Google Drive files only when you import a Google Doc or Google Slides presentation, and only for the specific files you select in Google's file picker. Niori cannot see, list, or open any other file in your Google Drive, and it never creates, changes, or deletes your Google files.

What we access: the text and structure of the Docs and Slides files you select, and the file's title.

How we use it: as source material to write the slides you ask for. The file's content is given to the AI model generating your presentation, in response to your request.

How we store it: the Google access token that lets Niori read your selected files is stored in our database and used only for that purpose. When you attach a Google Doc as a source, its text is stored with that presentation and removed after 24 hours without use. Content quoted into your chat or slides is stored with that presentation until you delete it.

Who we share it with: Google user data is shared only with the service providers needed to run Niori, only to perform the action you asked for, and never sold:

• Vercel — hosts the application and routes AI requests through Vercel AI Gateway.
• AI model providers — the provider running the AI model (currently Z.ai GLM models; Google Gemini and DeepSeek models may also be used), reached through Vercel AI Gateway, processes file content to generate your slides.
• Neon — hosts our PostgreSQL database, where the data described above is stored.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the security of Niori and its users.

AI training: we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalised AI or machine-learning models.

Human access: no one at Niori reads your Google data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

Niori's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Niori's access at any time from your Google account settings. Deleting your Niori account deletes the stored access token and any Google data held with your presentations.

Niori's plans are sold through Onelink, Stripe's checkout and payments service, with Stripe as the merchant of record. When you subscribe, we send Stripe your email address and an internal account reference, so your payments match your Niori account.

At checkout, Stripe collects your payment details and your billing name and address. It uses them to take payments, calculate and file tax, send receipts, prevent fraud and answer payment questions. Your card and other payment details never reach Niori. Stripe handles this information under its own privacy policy; see the Onelink Privacy Centre.

From Stripe we receive your plan, its status and billing dates, so the right allowance applies. Stripe may keep payment and tax records after you delete your Niori account, where the law requires it, and you can ask Onelink to delete the other data it holds about your purchases.

We use these providers to run Niori:

• Vercel — hosting, file storage, AI Gateway, and cookie-free usage analytics.
• Neon — PostgreSQL database.
• AI model providers (listed above), through Vercel AI Gateway — AI features.
• Upstash — rate limiting.
• Sentry — error reporting.
• Stripe, through Onelink — payments and tax, if you subscribe (see Payments above).

Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us.

All connections use HTTPS, and access to stored data is restricted.

You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account and all associated data (presentations, sources, chats, usage metrics, and stored Google tokens), from your account settings. Deleting your account also cancels any subscription.

Niori is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
